Born in U.S.A, with origins from Greece, America and Russia, lives permanently in Andros for the last 10 years.
With studies on Classical and Underwater Archeology, along with History of Art and Master Degree on Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, Marianne Federal, has numerous exhibitions all over the world.
Her works explore human nature in order to arouse compassion, fear, and wonder, the manifestations of our lives, conversations, and other interactions, our weaknesses and our strengths within the various relationships. The timeless quality and universality of these themes convey the emotional spirit, the levels of intensity and the mystery of our times.
The grand scale and the powerful presences on the canvases, allows viewers an exploration into their own complexities. Exploring facial expressions and hand gestures becomes a part of the personal narrative.
Looking into one of her paintings might compared to opening a book and interacting with the activities of the characters, participating in their conversations and engaging oneself in an inner dialogue, silently exploring one’s own state of mind at the same time

...γεννήθηκε στο New Jersey και από το 1980 έως το 1997 σπούδασε κλασσική και ναυτική αρχαιολογία, ιστορία τέχνης και τεχνολογίας στη Νέα Υόρκη, στη Σκωτία και στη Βόρεια Καρολίνα και πήρε master στις καλές τέχνες του πανεπιστημίου του Κολοράντο .
Έργα της έχουν εκτεθεί στη Νέα Υόρκη στο Κολοράντο, στο Βερολίνο και στην Αθήνα. Στην Άνδρο που της αρέσει για τα νερά της και το πράσινο ήρθε το 2003 και εγκαταστάθηκε μόνιμα κάνοντας αναπαλαιώσεις σπιτιών . Τα έργα της είναι πάντα ανθρωποκεντρικά και παρμένα από την καθημερινότητα.
